One of the original Big Ten Conference Evaluator/Observer’s in the newly created initiative to formally evaluate official’s performance. Continued to participate for 3 years. (After retiring from actively officiating on the collegiate level.)
Officiated dual meets involving all four Michigan NCAA D1 programs, including packed houses for U of Michigan vs Michigan State U and UM vs Central Michigan U.
Significant Career Highlights include:
Officiating Defending NCAA Champions Penn State vs. MSU at Kellogg Arena on the podium surrounded by Youth wrestlers and 2 Olympic Coaches in the corner.
Calling the MSU at CMU match. It was an affirmation of my integrity to call this intrastate rivalry involving my collegiate teammate and Head Coach at MSU opposing my Alma Mater, CMU.
My last NCAA dual meet at CMU vs. Iowa State coached by Olympic Champion Kevin Jackson. Who was a local HS wrestler.
Officiating NCWA National Duals D2 Finals in Iowa.
Officiating numerous HS Champions and then again to have the opportunity to call matches on the collegiate level i.e. : Metcalf, Reader, Donahoe, Dean, Simaz, Coon, Cozart, Sentes, Grajales, Bruno
