    • MCOA Hall of Fame Ceremony
The Mid-Coast Officials Association (MCOA) is pleased to announce their first annual Hall of Fame induction Banquet and Ceremony. The inductees were nominated by their peers and approved by the Executive Council. Those chosen have demonstrated excellence in sports officiating, service to the community, and service to the MCOA.
“These officials have all had a lasting impact on our organization. They have served as General Officers, Sports Commissioners, and mentors to our new officials. This ceremony and banquet are a small token to show our debt of gratitude to them,” stated Steve Muzzy, MOCA President.
The ceremony will be held Saturday, August 20 starting at 5:30 at the Elks Lodge in historic Cocoa Village, Florida. The ceremony will be livestreamed by the Brevard Sports Network via their social media outlets.

    • Boys Lacrosse Returns to the MCOA
The Mid-Coast Officials Association (MCOA) is pleased to announce that the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) has re-chartered the MCOA to provide Boys Lacrosse Sports Officials services in Brevard, Indian River and Volusia counties.
“We are excited to again serve our local area with Boys Lacrosse Officials. MCOA has proudly served our local area for over 40 years. We always strive for excellence in our services and we routinely have officials working State Championship games every year,” stated Steve Muzzy, MOCA President.
The MCOA invites all local Boys Lacrosse officials to register with MCOA via the FHSAA and our website. Javier Mazza (Girls Lacrosse Commissioner) has been selected as the interim MCOA leader for Boys Lacrosse and will be nominating an appointed Commissioner until the Boys Lacrosse officials elect a commissioner for the upcoming spring season. Javier Mazza has done an amazing job in providing quality officiating services for the sport of Girls Lacrosse and the goal is to replicate that success for the Boys teams we support.
We look forward to working with Friends of Brevard Lacrosse (FBL) and encourage interested persons to register as a Boys Lacrosse official. The MCOA and its partners will provide the necessary training and support to get you game ready for the upcoming season.
Our website, www.mcoa.org will provide all of the registration guidance and contact information if you have questions.
